The Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) is designed to equip learners with practical skills, knowledge, and attitudes for real-life problem-solving and lifelong learning. Unlike traditional content-based curricula emphasizing rote learning, CBC focuses on learner-centered, experiential, and skills-oriented teaching methodologies. For teachers, instructors, and lecturers, understanding CBC requires a paradigm shift in instructional design, assessment strategies, and classroom management to facilitate active learning, continuous assessment, and individualized support. By integrating CBC, educators can better prepare students for the demands of the 21st-century workforce, fostering holistic development and ensuring that education is relevant to societal and economic needs.
